You can search through large quantities of written material to find what you’re after and locate necessary information within books and documents.

When you use Research to search ofr a desired document or locate required information, the standard score is your intelligence + a secondary ability score decided by the GM + your sorcerer level, to which you then add the bonus from Research. This check is called a research check (a type of intelligence check).
